Maharashtra Bandh

Uddhav Thackeray announced Maharashtra Bandh

Schools in several areas of Maharashtra are likely to be closed tomorrow, August 24, due to the anticipated Maharashtra Bandh. However, it’s important to note that the Maharashtra government has not issued an official notice confirming this. The speculation arises from the Bandh called by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray. As a result, parents should reach out to their respective schools for the latest updates.

Uddhav Thackeray, leading the Shiv Sena (UBT), has announced the Maharashtra Bandh as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), in protest of a recent incident in Badlapur. Thackeray emphasized that this move is non-political and has urged the public to unite for the “safety of our daughters.” Reports suggest that MVA allies, including Congress, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) led by Sharad Pawar, will be participating in the Bandh.

Maharashtra Bandh

The Office of Uddhav Thackeray confirmed the Bandh on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “The Mahavikas Aghadi has announced Maharashtra Bandh on August 24 to protest against the atrocities in Badlapur. This bandh is not political but aims to protest and curb the perversity.”

Since many schools in the state are typically closed on Saturdays, and public transportation is expected to be affected by the Bandh, parents and guardians are advised to check with their schools for any updates.
